The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) brings together (six) Standards organizations from Asia, North America and Europe to publish a highly successful set of mobile standards. 3GPP has recently completed the functionality for LTE-Advanced by Freezing Release 10 of the Standard, an achievement that will allow operators to develop plans for ‘Beyond 3G’ in the future.
3GPP has a web site (www.3gpp.org) which has the latest news and 17,000 pages tracking the current status of specifications, meetings and documents, as well as latest specs free-of-charge. |
