Public sector learnt the names of its heroes

Awards of the 6th All-Russian Contest Best 10 IT projects for the public sector: Education and Healthcare have found their winners. The award statuettes were presented yesterday at a grand ceremony held at the forum Priorities 2014: Informatization of Education and Healthcare.
The award ceremony took place in the Moscow Holiday Inn Lesnaya Hotel. The diplomas were awarded not only to project service providers, but also to their customers.

The nominees were scored on five criteria: innovativeness, accessibility, scalability, topicality and transparency. The jury comprised representatives from leading market players, professional associations and government regulators. This entitled General Director of ComNews Group Dmitry Petrovsky to announce in his keynote speech that the winners of the contest were chosen by the ICT community itself.

“Informatization processes have widely affected the education system”, commented on the situation in the industry Member of the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament Ludmila Bokova. “The quality of teachership itself has improved. New healthcare solutions are changing it step by step.” In turn, Acting Minister of Education of Tver region Dmitry Kulikov, expressed hopes that all these changes will allow “to get what we started it all for – an accomplished student.”

In the nomination “Best innovative project in health care”, the winner was Sovzond company, which developed an information portal for persons with reduced mobility residing in Kaluga region (and its mobile version). In the nomination “Best automation system for a health care facility”, the award went to First bit, which implemented automation of I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

Technoserv Group received a special award in the nomination “Largest federal infrastructure project in informatization of a medical research facility” for creating infocommunications infrastructure for the Medical Center of the Far Eastern Federal University.

In the nomination “Best telemedicine project” the jury distinguished the accomplishment of 2B Group, which supplied and deployed a telemedicine system for the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. Aquarius production company was awarded for “Contribution to telemedicine in the regions of Russia”. The company developed IT infrastructure and implemented a distributed instrumental and video monitoring of perinatal centers’ patients in Chelyabinsk regional children’s hospital.

Winner of a special award in the nomination “Best learning media resource for medical practitioners” was Medicine Channel 1 – a joint initiative of INVITRO Independent Labs and Media Sfera publishing house.

The award for “Best innovative project in education” went to the initiative of Andreev Soft. Network Integration, which was contracted to build information-intensive educational environment in Tver region by means of enabling systemic support to the network of information centers of regional general education institutions.

I-Teco won the nomination “Best socially oriented information system for educational institution” for its accomplishments in the development of information system ‘Access and meals via universal electronic card’ for Moscow schools.

ASCREEN received the award for the “Best multimedia complex for an educational institution”. The company had supplied learning multimedia complexes to the Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics & Optics.

EDU – pupil’s electronic diary won KORUS Consulting CIS the award in the nomination “Best complex IT solution for electronic interaction and document management in an educational institution”, while InfoShell’s app for Lomonosov Moscow State University Faculty of Psychology  took the prize for “Best mobile app for a higher education institution”.

The award for “Best media project in education” went to RSVO’s project ‘School Radio’. Finally, the “Best e-textbook” was the system of learning and teaching complexes for distant training of municipal officials of Rostov region developed by Rostov Social and Economic Institute.

The contest Best 10 IT projects for the public sector: Education and Healthcare was established by Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media and ComNews Group in 2009 to annually distinguish customers and suppliers of the most significant IT projects, which enhance innovations in public and government organizations. Over six years, the contest has taken the spotlight in major federal business and industry media. Every year, the contest engages IT professionals and executives from more than 60 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
