 Federal Agency of Communications (Rossvyaz) is a Federal Executive Body, executing functions of state property administration and telecommunication and postal state services rendering, including construction, development and utilization of communication networks, satellite systems, TV and radio broadcasting systems.
Rossvyaz is under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation

 
 Nonprofit Russian Association of Cable Television was founded in 1998 to join efforts of the national telecommunications community to boost development of advanced multichannel broadcasting technologies.The Association comprises 100 companies – direct members, and 600 more enjoy membership through holdings and regional association. The Association unites all major operators of cable, satellite and terrestrial television in Russia. Altogether, members of the organization cater to 19.5 million subscribers. Members include leading televisions companies and national terrestrial broadcasters, largest system integrators and many research institutes. The Association also provides membership to fellow unions from Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Latvia and Kazakhstan. The Association accumulates industry-related knowledge and expertise, it provides consulting services and represents the common stand of the cable business community in the Government. The Association is extensively engaged in the development of legislative initiatives related to industry regulation.
Being a professional union, it establishes a strategy for the cable industry and provides its members with new ideas and insights.

 
 National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters (NAT) is the largest professional union of broadcasting companies in Russia. NAT members include national, federal and regional companies, content producers and integrators, research and academic establishments, media measurement providers and other organizations.
NAT has its own information resource – an interactive TV and Radio Atlas of Russia, which works in all regions of the Russian Federation and is open to the wide public.
NAT defends its members’ rights and interest on the federal and regional levels, takes part in the development of legislative framework for the e-media and migration of TV and radio to new digital technologies.

NAT representatives participate in task teams with the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, Roskomnadzor, Russian TV and Radiobroadcasting Network, issue expert judgment on draft laws and administrative regulations of Rospechat and Roskomnadzor, collaborate with Federal Antimonopoly Service, Federal Customs Service, Russian Copyright Society, Russian Organization for Intellectual Property, and other organizations.
NAT President E.Sagalaev and Board members K.Ernst and O.Dobrodeev are also members of the Governmental Commission for TV and Radio Broadcasting.
NAT specifically focuses on regional and thematic non-terrestrial channels and pursues development of new business models for them in the digital environment.
Key projects and events of the Association: International Exhibition of Professional Equipment and Technologies for Television, Radio and Internet broadcasting NATEXPO, International Broadcast Content Market Moscow TeleShow, children’s TV festival “Tune in!” and the festival of socially important TV programs “A Hero Of Our Time”, national awards in satellite, cable and online television “Golden Beam”, and TV technologies awards named after Zvorykin. 

 
 
BEDPA
The Broadcasting Equipment’s Developers and Producers Association (BEDPA) was established in 2008 on the initiative of the Minpromtorg of Russia and with the assistance of the Minsvyaz of Russia. The BEDPA is a non-profit organization, created for joint use of experience and unique technologies, accumulated by electronic industry enterprises in a field of television equipment developing and production.
The BEDPA includes 25 enterprises, representing leading research institutes of the Minpromtorg of Russia, the Minsvyaz of Russia, the Rostec Corporation and domestic manufactures of digital broadcasting equipment. Scientific and technical level of the BEDPA’s enterprises developments repeatedly confirmed by range of highest awards of prestigious international shows such as the First National Prize “Bolshaya Cifra”.
The BEDPA is an active member of the Public Council of the Minpromtorg of Russia and of the Coordinating Council on Issues of Electronic Industry Innovative Development of the same Ministry.

 
 The dynamic advances of Russia’s information technologies industry demanded the establishment of an organization that would act as advocate for the industry’s interests. In the fall of 2001, leading IT-companies agreed to establish a non-profit Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (“AP KIT”). The companies who cooperated to form this advocacy organization include the following: 1C, Aquarius, Cognitive Technologies, DPI, ELST, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, iTeco, Kraftway Computers, Microsoft, Oracle, R-Style, TopS, Verysell, Xerox, ASK, ACSIT, White Wind, DialogNauka, IVK, Interface, Kaspersky Laboratory, Lanit, Marvel, NAMIP, Pirit, et cetera. In terms of its membership, AP KIT is the most representative noncommercial association in the Russian IT Industry. Association members have earned acclaim as leading Russian and international businesses, distributors, system integrators, vendors and developers. By many accounts, AP KIT members control up to 70% of the official market.  AP KIT unites associations representing individual market segments as well as regional unions. Among the AP KIT members are subindustry and niche associations APEAP (Association of Electronic Apparatus and Device Makers), ARPP Domestic Software (Association of Software Developers), NP MOOP YaRD, NP PPP (Noncommercial Partnership of Software Product Suppliers), RUSSOFT Noncommercial Partnership and regional associations AKCIT (Southern Russia Digital and Information Technology Companies Association) and RASPO (Russian Association of Free Software). A mouthpiece for IT industry interests, AP KIT defends them with the major public associations. It is a member of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and WITSA and cooperates with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, OPORA (Russian Non-governmental Association of Small and Medium-size Businesses), AMR (Association of Managers), the Institute of Contemporary Development, RATEK (Electronic Appliance and Computer Distributors and Producers Association), BITKOM and ICC. AP KIT representatives sit on expert and advisory boards at the Russian State Duma, government commissions, ministries and departments (Ministry for IT and Communications, Ministry for Economic Development, Ministry for Education and Science, Ministry for Industry and Trade, Ministry for Culture and Mass Communications, Federal Customs Service, and the Federal Antimonopoly Service). Uniting the industry elite, AP KIT forms a system of values, improves mechanisms of interaction within the industry and works to build an open, civilized market as a safeguard of IT business stability.
 
 International Telecommunications  Academy (MAC) is an international organization. It is a voluntary public association of academics, outstanding managers and highly skilled professionals. Co-operation is based on common professional interests, theoretical and practical issues in infocommunication development (Infocommunication = information + telecommunications (communication).
 
 Association of Regional Telecom Operators (ARTO) is one of leading Russian associations of telecom market players and was founded in February 1995 (former name Association-800). ARTO is a non-commercial association of companies created for the purpose of coordination of business activities, representation and protection of general property interests of its members in the sphere of communications. Today the association unites 30 companies which are engaged in development and operation of mobile and fixed-line networks in RF and CIS countries. Primary goals of ARTO are assistance to regional operators in business and networks development, assistance in interaction with communications administration. ARTO effectively defends interests of regional operators, contributes to creation of liberal telecommunication environment and fair competition, pursues the policy of implementation of technical and economical integration of participants of communication development process on the territory of RF and CIS countries. ARTO cooperates closely with other specialized associations and alliances, participates in works on implementation of new technologies and services.
 
 The Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) was established in 2006.
The Association's objective is to create a civilized information society, which will have its own legal system and the codes of professional activities that are to be accepted by both the users and the companies operating on the Internet.
One of the key goals of the Association is to set up a dialogue between the state and the IT-companies.
RAEC is actively involved in the solutions of socially important objectives aimed at the development of the information society in Russia and enhancing the image of Russia as of the responsible member of the global information community.
 
 HD Union is non-commercial organization established with the aim of  consolidation of all active participants of HD-market and for promotion of High Definition Television and Digital Cinematography on Russian and international market.
HDUnion  is supported  by  Russian Federal Agency for the Press and Mass Communications.
HD Union as multi-industry organization incorporates: air, satellite, cable and IP broadcasters, telecoms, industry ministries and government institutions, HD content producers and hardware manufacturers, digital cinemas, distributors of HD content and equipment, content providers, systems integrators, industry research and development institutes, educational institutions, advertising and marketing agencies, etc.
Main areas of HD Union activity:
- consolidation of all active participants of HD-market;
- providing prosperous conditions for creation and development of HD market;
- promotion of products and services of Association members on Russian and international markets;
- providing comprehensive help and support for Association members of in the aspects of law, consulting and management issues in establishment of HDTV channels or Digital Cinemas;
- protecting interests of Association members in communications with regulatory bodies;
- assistance to Association members in professional staff training;
- interaction with other associations, unions and societies;
- management and carriage of industry exhibitions, conferences, round tables, symposiums, festivals, seminars, contests, etc.
Who can join HD Union
Any legal entity which acknowledges Charter of HD Union, takes part in Association activities and pays membership fees can be a member of HD Union - Association for High Definition Television and Digital Cinematography.
